Calendar of Events and Member-Hosted Meetups

We organize a full calendar of events each month that are announced and can be viewed from our private Facebook page.

Member-hosted events, either with children or moms-only recharging time, are the foundation of our calendar. The Board and BMAK members also plan monthly socials and special events.

All members are invited to contribute to the calendar of events!

Playgroups

Playgroups are the heart and soul of BMAK, offering small groups of moms and children the opportunity to meet regularly in one another’s homes or at a public location — helping moms and children form lasting friendships. We form our playgroups with consideration for children’s ages and naptimes, as well as moms’ schedules.

Our Playgroup Coordinator helps arrange our playgroups across our membership.

Moms’ Nights Out

Ready for an evening out with the girls? It’s on the calendar! We plan events every month (often more!) to get together such as sharing a meal at a new restaurant, having a morning coffee together, completing a DIY project, going to a spa, or even meeting to discuss parenting. Any member can host a Moms’ Night (or Morning!) Out event.

Book Club

The book club is a wonderful way for us moms to connect with our own interests and socialize. Club members decide on the book for each month, announced two months in advance. We are a very relaxed group, and if you didn’t read or finish the book, you are still invited to come and enjoy the company and conversations of the group. Our Book Club Coordinator helps keep our group informed of all plans.

Helping Hands

When member families are going through a stressful time, whether it is a death, surgery, or, most happily, welcoming a new member into the family, we are fortunate that we can offer meals and support to one another. Our Helping Hands Coordinator is ready to help facilitate members’ needs.

Service in Our Communities

We offer many service opportunities throughout the year to connect resources and talents with needs in our communities. We have given back to our community through our shoe drive for Prince William County’s Infant and Toddler Program donating over 100 shoes, cleaning up local parks, and helping many children in our schools be prepared to begin each fall with new supplies and backpacks.
