Community Involvement

BMAK at Relay for Life

Charity and Service

BMAK promotes civic engagement through a variety of charity and service projects. We do several charity drives and service projects each year. The following are examples of what we have done in the past and we hope to continue every year. We are open for new things we can do as a group to help out our surrounding communities.

Stockings for Soldiers - BMAK adopts a soldier overseas who cannot come home for the holiday. Our members donate items that the soldier’s entire unit has requested. Each soldier in the unit will get a stocking of goodies and as one of our activities we have the children write letters to include in the packages that we send.

Northern Virginia Family Services (SERVE) - SERVE is the Manassas campus of Northern Virginia Family Services. It is unique for its holistic approach to helping our community's most vulnerable individuals and families address a variety of needs on their paths to self-sufficiency. Our members collect back to school supplies and donate to this organization every summer.

Race For the Cure - Susan G. Komen Walk to raise money for breast cancer research.

Helping Hands

The Helping Hands coordinator sets up meals for moms who have just had a baby or whose families are going through a rough time. If you are a BMAK member and you are in need of meals due to new baby, recent surgery or illness, or an immediate family member passes, please don't hesitate to ask for help. This is what being part of a moms group is all about!
